Marilyn's career was just starting to take off when she befriended
(Milton H.) Greene, who helped release her from a constricting
studio contract, and joined her in creating an independent
production company. From the years 1953 to 1957, Greene was
instrumental in furthering Marilyn's career - and making her one
of the most famous women of her time.
Milton H. Greene (1922-1985) had already photographed some of the
most famous faces of the forties and fifties when he met Marilyn
Monroe on assignment for Look magazine. Together with Marilyn he
established Marilyn Monroe Productions, Inc, which produced a
number of films, including "Bus Stop."
